The short version: we never see your files.

This website

This site has no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and it loads nothing from other companies. Your choice of language and currency is remembered in your own browser and goes nowhere else. To show prices in your currency, the page reads your computer's time zone and language, and sends them nowhere.

The company hosting the site may keep ordinary server logs, such as addresses and the pages requested, as any web host does.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, you agree that we keep your email address, your language and the date you joined. We use them for one thing: to email you when Tahweel comes out.

They're stored for us by Upstash, in the European Union. We don't sell them or share them with anyone else. We delete the list once the launch emails have gone out, and within 12 months at the latest.

To stop abuse, a scrambled version of your connection's address is kept for one hour.

You can ask us to remove your address at any time, using the contact below.

The app

Tahweel converts and edits your files on your computer. It doesn't upload them, read them for us, or send us what's in them.

Reading text and removing backgrounds also happen on your computer, with open-source models.

Optional packs

Two optional packs download once, only if you use what they do: removing backgrounds, and converting Office files on a computer without Office. The app requests the pack and sends nothing about your files.

Buying Tahweel

When Tahweel goes on sale, payment will be handled by a payment provider, which will receive what it needs to take your payment. This page will name that provider before any sale.
