Your files stay on your computer.
Online converters ask you to upload a copy of your file. Tahweel does all its work on your Mac or PC, so contracts, scans and family photos never leave it.
Read the privacy pageNothing is uploaded
Files are converted and edited on your computer, not on a server.

Questions
When can I get Tahweel?
Soon. It's in its last tests on Mac and Windows. Join the waitlist and we'll email you on launch day.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Tahweel works on your computer, and your files never leave it.
Does it need the internet?
No. Two optional packs download once, only if you use what they do: removing backgrounds (115 MB), and converting Office files on a computer without Office (about 300 MB).
Which computers does it run on?
Macs with Apple silicon or Intel on macOS 13.4 or later, and PCs on Windows 10 (version 2004 or later) or Windows 11.
Do I need Word or Excel?
No. If Word is installed, Tahweel can use it. If not, it uses its own engine and the optional Office pack.
Is anything different on Windows?
The tools are the same. Saving Pages documents is Mac only, and saving HEIC photos on Windows needs Microsoft's HEIF and HEVC extensions, which Tahweel points you to.
What happens after the 20 free files?
You buy Tahweel for $14.99, once, to keep using it. There's no subscription, and the files you've already made stay yours.
Does it work in Arabic?
Yes. The app, its menus and its messages come in Arabic, French and English.
Right-click, and it's done.
Tahweel is coming soon for Mac and Windows.
